Wembanyama's 28 points power Spurs past Thunder, into Game 7

San Antonio forced a seventh and deciding game in the Western Conference Finals by routing Oklahoma City 118-91 in Game 6 on May 28, 2026, at Frost Bank Center. Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting, adding 10 rebounds, three blocks, two steals and two assists, while teammates Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle provided substantial secondary production.

The result was built on a dominant third quarter in which San Antonio outscored Oklahoma City 32-13, effectively ending the contest. Harper, a rookie playing off the bench, shot 6-of-9 from the field for 18 points in 22 minutes, while Castle scored 17 points and recorded nine assists in the starting lineup. Devin Vassell converted four of seven three-point attempts for 12 points, and Julian Champagnie added 10 points with six rebounds. Twelve Spurs players scored in total.

Oklahoma City’s three-point shooting was a decisive weakness. The Thunder attempted 40 shots from beyond the arc and converted only 10, a 25-percent clip. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the league’s Most Valuable Player, managed 15 points on 6-of-18 shooting and missed all five of his three-point attempts. Lu Dort shot 1-of-9 from three and 2-of-11 overall. The team’s field-goal percentage for the game was 37 percent.

Game 7 will be played in Oklahoma City, with a berth in the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks at stake. New York reached the Finals by sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, marking the franchise’s first Finals appearance in close to three decades.
