Tilak Varma to Captain India A in Sri Lanka; Sooryavanshi In
The BCCI has named Tilak Varma as captain of the India A squad for the ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka next month, with Riyan Parag as his deputy. The tournament runs from June 9 to 21 in Dambulla, with Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A as the other two sides.
The big name in the squad is 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who gets his first India A call-up after a breakthrough IPL season — 440 runs in 11 games at a strike rate of 236.55 for Rajasthan Royals. Priyansh Arya is also included.
