Suryakumar Misses Dharamsala Trip After Becoming a Father

Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t travelled to Dharamsala for Mumbai Indians’ clash against Punjab Kings. The reason is personal — he and his wife Devisha Shetty recently had a baby girl, and the franchise has given him time with his family.
It’s not the first time this has happened this season. SKY stayed back during MI’s game against RCB in Raipur for similar reasons before flying in separately on matchday to captain the side. MI will be hoping he can do the same again, but nothing has been confirmed.
With Hardik Pandya also still nursing a back spasm, Mumbai are heading into the game without their captain and the man who’s been filling in for him. MI are already out of the playoffs, which takes some of the pressure off, but it’s still not ideal going into any match two senior players short.
