Suryakumar, Dube honoured by Maharashtra after WC win

India’s T20 World Cup stars Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube were honoured in Mumbai after Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde felicitated the duo for their role in the country’s title-winning campaign.

At the ceremony, Shinde praised the Mumbai cricketers for delivering on the global stage. “You have made the entire state proud with this achievement,” he said.

Suryakumar called the honour “a proud moment for any player representing his home state,” while Dube added, “Winning the World Cup for India is something I will cherish forever.”

The felicitation celebrated the duo’s contribution to India’s triumph and their growing status as inspirations for young cricketers across Maharashtra.
