He tried to hide Shashank’s face with his cap before they reached Ricky Ponting.
But Ponting wasn’t having it. He spotted the fielder, jokingly pretended to slap him — then broke into a wide smile and pulled him in for a hug. The moment went viral. PBKS still won by 54 runs. Some days the team is just too good to lose.
