Chasing a competitive total, India wobbled early before Samson steadied the innings with a calm half-century, rotating strike and accelerating late to finish with a strike rate above 140. His calculated assault in the final overs sealed victory and booked India’s place in the last four.
“I just focused on staying till the end,” Samson said after the win. “In big games, composure is everything.”
