RCB star opens up on World Cup snub, father’s death

Royal Challengers Bengaluru fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has revealed the emotional struggles he faced after missing out on India’s T20 World Cup squad while also coping with the death of his father, calling it one of the toughest phases of his career.
Speaking about the setback, Siraj admitted the World Cup snub hurt deeply. “It was painful not to be selected. Every cricketer dreams of playing the World Cup,” he said.
The pacer also recalled the personal tragedy that shaped his journey. “Losing my father was the hardest moment of my life, but I knew he wanted me to keep playing,” Siraj added.
Siraj eventually bounced back with strong performances in the IPL for RCB, using the difficult period as motivation. “I decided to focus on my game and prove myself on the field,” he said.
His comeback highlights a story of resilience, turning personal loss and professional disappointment into renewed determination.
