Rahul Carries DC Again but Bangar Flags Their Middle-Order Problem

Delhi Capitals beat Punjab Kings in Dharamsala and kept their playoff hopes alive. KL Rahul was the reason. Again.

Rahul has 468 runs this season at a strike rate of 180. Three half-centuries and an unbeaten 152 against PBKS earlier in the campaign. In the middle overs he’s striking at 211. DC wouldn’t be in this conversation without him.

Sanjay Bangar pointed straight at the flaw: DC have used nine different batters at positions four to eight this season. Only four of them have had more than five innings. No consistency. No reliable second option behind Rahul.

David Miller has contributed. But one player carrying a middle order is not a playoff formula. DC need to win all remaining games to reach 14 points and force their way in.

The margin is gone. Rahul has to keep going.
