Rahul Becomes First Batter to Score 1000 IPL Runs for Three Different Teams

KL Rahul keeps rewriting the record books — and this one belongs to him alone.
The Delhi Capitals opener became the first batter in IPL history to score 1000 runs for three different franchises during Thursday’s match against KKR. He’d already crossed the mark with Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. Now Delhi joins that list.
He’s been in career-best form this season. Still leading the Orange Cap standings with over 445 runs in 10 matches. His 152 off 67 balls earlier this IPL made him the only Indian ever to score 150-plus in a single innings — the third-highest individual score in IPL history.
Across PBKS, LSG, and now DC — three clubs, three separate 1000-run milestones, one player. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli played most of their careers in one place. Rahul moved around and made history anyway.
