Prannoy withdraws from Orleans Masters Super 300 event

HS Prannoy has pulled out of the Orleans Masters Super 300 tournament in France this week due to fitness concerns, dealing a blow to India’s campaign just before the event began.
The world No. 10 was expected to lead the Indian challenge but opted to skip the tournament as part of workload management ahead of a packed international schedule. His withdrawal reshapes the draw and reduces India’s medal prospects.
“It’s important to listen to the body at this stage,” a team source said. “The focus is on staying fit for bigger tournaments.”
A coach added: “Prannoy has been playing consistently at a high level. Recovery is key now.”
The Indian shuttler, who reached multiple deep runs last season, is now targeting upcoming major events as he looks to maintain form on the BWF circuit.
