Prabhsimran Singh Is Quietly Becoming Punjab Kings’ Most Important Player

Everyone’s talking about Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Priyansh Arya. But Prabhsimran Singh is the one doing the damage.

The Punjab Kings opener scored an unbeaten 80 off 39 balls against Mumbai Indians — his second successive fifty of the season. And skipper Shreyas Iyer noticed.

“Prabhsimran has raised the bar,” Iyer said after the win. “He’s maturing with each game.”

Last season, he swung hard and got runs but was inconsistent. This year is different. Since 2025, he has the fourth-highest middle-overs strike rate of any batter with 200+ runs in that phase — 172.94. He’s not just starting well. He’s finishing games.
