PBKS Chase Down 210 to Hand CSK Second Straight IPL Loss

Punjab Kings dismantled Chennai Super Kings at their own fortress on April 3, chasing 210 with 8 balls to spare to hand CSK a second consecutive IPL 2026 defeat at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Priyansh Arya set the tone. The PBKS opener blazed 39 off just 11 balls, putting Punjab in cruise control alongside Prabhsimran Singh’s 43 off 34. Cooper Connolly added 36 off 22.
But the innings belonged to Shreyas Iyer. The skipper strolled in under pressure and smashed a 29-ball fifty to close out a five-wicket win in 18.4 overs.
CSK had posted 210/5. Ayush Mhatre top-scored with 73 off 43, Sarfaraz Khan plundered 32 off just 12, and Shivam Dube remained unbeaten on 45 off 28. Anshul Kamboj took 2/43.
It was PBKS’s fourth straight win at Chepauk. CSK have lost both home games this season.
“That was an exceptional start for us,” Iyer said. “Priyansh and Prab doing the job at the top — the way they’ve been batting, it’s phenomenal to see.”
He added: “Whatever happens, we’re going to play a brand of cricket which is to impress each other, not others outside.”
