Kolkata Knight Riders have received a timely boost ahead of IPL 2026 starting March 28, with Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana declared fit and ready to join the squad after recovering from injury.
Pathirana, known for his slingy action and death-over skills, is expected to strengthen KKR’s bowling attack. “He is fit and available, which is great news for us,” a team source said. Another official added, “His return gives us more options, especially in crucial overs.”
