Pakistan Weighs India Match Boycott at T20 World Cup

Pakistan is considering boycotting its T20 World Cup match against India in June over security and political concerns, the country’s cricket board said on Tuesday. The high-profile game is scheduled to be played in New York during the tournament co-hosted by the United States and West Indies.
A Pakistan Cricket Board official said the issue is under review, stressing that player safety remains the top priority. “We will take a decision in consultation with the government,” the official told local media.
The International Cricket Council said the schedule is finalized and expects all teams to fulfill their fixtures. India and Pakistan last met in a T20 World Cup match in 2022, with India winning by four wickets.
