Pakistan protest DRS drama after Bangladesh ODI defeat

Pakistan have lodged an official complaint with match referee Neeyamur Rashid after a controversial Decision Review System (DRS) call in the final over of the third ODI against Bangladesh, a moment that overshadowed a tense finish and helped seal Bangladesh’s 11-run victory and a 2–1 series win.

The flashpoint came in the closing stages of the match when a disputed review decision left Pakistan furious, prompting head coach Mike Hesson to raise the issue with officials immediately after the game.

Pakistan camp sources described the moment as “confusing and frustrating,” arguing the review process influenced the dramatic finale. Bangladesh, however, held their nerve in the last over to secure a historic series triumph on home soil.

“This kind of situation needs clarity,” a Pakistan team representative reportedly said after the match. The controversy has reignited debate over DRS interpretation as both teams move on from a series decided amid last-over drama.
