Kohli Touches Feet of Childhood Coach Rajkumar Sharma at DDCA Ceremony

Eleven IPL hundreds. Multiple World Cup medals. Still, the first thing Virat Kohli did when he saw his childhood coach was touch his feet.
The moment came at a felicitation ceremony at Arun Jaitley Stadium organised by the Delhi and District Cricket Association. Rajkumar Sharma — who has run his West Delhi cricket academy for decades and first spotted Kohli as a teenager — was being honoured. Kohli’s gesture of respect went instantly viral.
Sharma has always credited Kohli’s hunger as the thing that set him apart. “He always had a hunger to be the best,” he said recently. “He is completely ready for the 2027 World Cup.”
From a West Delhi academy to the records books. And still the same boy who touches his coach’s feet.
