Kohli joins RCB camp in Bengaluru before IPL 2026

Virat Kohli arrived in Bengaluru on March 18 ahead of the IPL 2026 season, joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the defending champions begin preparations for their title defence.
The former India captain was welcomed by fans at the airport as RCB gear up for a campaign where they aim to retain the trophy after finally ending their title drought last season. Kohli, who played a key role in that triumph with consistent runs, is expected to lead the batting unit again.
“It feels great to be back. The energy here is always special,” Kohli said upon arrival. “We know expectations are high, but we are ready for the challenge.”
An RCB team official added: “His presence lifts the entire squad. He sets the standard in training and matches.”
A teammate also noted: “When Virat is around, everyone raises their level. That’s what champions do.”
Kohli scored over 600 runs in the previous campaign, underlining his importance as RCB now target back-to-back titles in the upcoming season.
