Karnataka beat Hyderabad to lift Disability T20 title

Karnataka won the South Zone Physical Disability T20 Tournament 2025 after a five-wicket victory over Hyderabad in the final at the NFCL Cricket Ground, Hyderabad, on Dec. 29. Hyderabad posted 115/8, with Prashanth Ram top-scoring with 27, but Karnataka’s Ashoka Yadav ripped through the innings with 4 wickets. Karnataka replied with 118/5 in 18.3 overs, guided by opener Bharat’s 35 to seal the trophy.

At the closing ceremony, DCCI secretary Ravi Kant Chauhan said “true talent transcends physical limitations,” praising players for “exceptional determination, discipline, and sportsmanship,” and adding the council remains “committed to creating stronger platforms” for differently abled cricketers.
