Ganguly Urges Selectors to Pick Nabi

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has called on national selectors to include young pacer Auqib Nabi in the squad for the upcoming tour of England, backing the seamer to thrive in challenging conditions.
Speaking ahead of the selection meeting, Ganguly said Nabi’s skill set suits English pitches known for swing and seam movement. “He has the ability to move the ball both ways and that’s crucial in England,” Ganguly stated. “You must invest in young fast bowlers.”
Nabi has impressed in domestic cricket with consistent wicket-taking spells, catching the attention of former players and analysts. A senior selector, however, noted that “team balance and experience will also weigh heavily.”
India’s England tour is expected to test the depth of the pace attack, and Ganguly believes exposing Nabi early could strengthen the team’s long-term plans overseas.
