DDCA Eyes New World-Class Stadium in Delhi

Delhi cricket could soon get a major upgrade as the DDCA moves forward with plans for a brand-new international stadium, with Okhla, Dwarka, Narela and Rohini under consideration.
The proposal, unveiled this week, is designed to reduce the load on the Arun Jaitley Stadium and strengthen infrastructure in the capital. Officials confirmed that land suitability and transport access will determine the final location.
“This is a long-term investment in Delhi cricket,” a DDCA official said. Another added, “We want a modern venue that meets global standards.”
If cleared, the new arena is expected to host top-tier domestic and international fixtures, reshaping the city’s cricket map.
