Cummins Fined Rs 12 Lakh After SRH’s Record 82-Run Collapse vs GT

On top of the worst defeat in SRH’s IPL history, Pat Cummins now has a fine to deal with. The BCCI docked him Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate during Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 82-run loss to Gujarat Titans — his first offence of the season, so it was the minimum penalty under Article 2.22 of the Code of Conduct.
The match itself was a disaster. SRH were bowled out for 86, their lowest-ever IPL total, as GT won their fifth game in a row and went top of the table. The over-rate fine was almost a footnote.
Cummins joins Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya on the list of captains fined for slow over-rates this season. Not exactly the company anyone wants to be in.
