Bhanwala grabs Asian Championships rapid-fire bronze in Delhi

India’s Anish Bhanwala clinched bronze in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol at the 2026 Asian Shooting Championships in Delhi on Wednesday, finishing third with 23 hits in a nervy final.
Bhanwala was locked at 21 with Kazakhstan’s Nikita Chiryukin after six five-shot series, but a costly next round (2 hits to Chiryukin’s 4) swung the silver-medal battle away. Fellow Indian Adarsh Singh placed sixth with 11 hits after qualifying for the final alongside Bhanwala with scores of 573 and 574 respectively.
An NRAI post hailed the feat: “wins BRONZE,” adding that the Indian trio also “won SILVER in the team event.”
