Badoni, Arya Get India A Call for T20 WC Warm-ups

Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya have been named in the India A squad for T20 World Cup warm-up matches, prompting their release from Delhi’s Ranji Trophy fixture this week. The duo were picked as selectors step up preparations ahead of the global tournament.
Badoni has impressed in domestic T20s with his finishing ability, while Arya’s recent run of consistent scores earned him a first India A call-up. A BCCI source said the selections were merit-based. “Both players have shown form and temperament suited for T20 cricket,” the official noted.
Delhi head coach also backed the move. “This is a big opportunity for them,” he said. “Exposure at this level helps players grow quickly.”
Badoni welcomed the chance. “It’s an honour to be considered,” he said. “I want to make the most of it.”
The warm-up games will help India assess fringe players as they fine-tune combinations ahead of the T20 World Cup.
