Babar Azam Joins Kohli and Abhishek Sharma in Elite T20 Record Club

Babar Azam is back among the run-scorers — and now his name sits in elite company.
The Pakistan batter scored 103 for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2026, his second century of the tournament. In doing so, he equalled Virat Kohli and Abhishek Sharma’s record of eight T20 hundreds scored in a single country. All three men now share that mark — Babar’s in Pakistan, the two Indians’ in India.
Overall, Babar now has 12 T20 hundreds — trailing only Chris Gayle’s all-time record of 22. He also reached 12,000 T20 runs in the process, becoming the fastest batter in history to reach that landmark in just 338 innings.
Not a bad comeback for a player the selectors dropped earlier this season.
