Amit Mishra faces third police case in dowry dispute

Former India spinner Amit Mishra has been named in a third police case after fresh allegations of domestic abuse and dowry harassment were filed by his wife, Indian authorities confirmed on Tuesday. The complaint was registered amid an ongoing marital dispute that has already led to two earlier legal cases against the cricketer.

Police said the latest case includes accusations of mental and physical harassment during the marriage. “We have received the complaint and the matter is under investigation,” a local police official said, adding that statements from both parties will be examined.

Sources close to the case claim the complaint also mentions alleged financial pressure linked to dowry demands. Mishra has previously rejected similar accusations, while the legal battle between the two sides continues in court.
